2013 Summer Escapade at Tagaytay

Our DIY summer escapade at Tagaytay happened last March 28-30, 2013.My best  friends  namely Peng, Margie and Mhon went to Tagaytay to spend our holy week there away from the crowded Manila. We stayed at Mijo hotel which was referred by my officemate. By just asking our friends and colleagues I was able to come-up with an ITINERARY (Yes! At last!)..=D

March 28, 2013 - We rode on the San Agustin Bus going to Tagaytay which is located along Edsa. We were already there as early as 6 am but we were able to leave the terminal at exactly 8:30 am. We passed Edsa, Cavitex and Aguinaldo Highway. We endured the 2 hours trip from Cubao to Tagaytay.. Lucky us, we were allowed to check in at Mijo Hotel earlier than the actual check-in for no additional cost. Yahhhhooo! We left our things at Mijo hotel then we  started  our Do-It-Yourself Summer Escapade at Tagaytay! Yippeeeeee!!

Our first stop was at Leslie's. The overlooking view of Taal Volcano Lake at Leslie's is so relaxing. We take a lot of pictures while waiting for our order. We ordered the famous BULALO, seafood Kare-Kare , Pork Sisig and Leche Flan. The foods were so yummy. We really enjoyed the food at Leslie's. It's like we want to sleep or take a rest na because of sobrang kabusugan. After taking our lunch, we bought our forever favorite San Miguel Apple at 7 eleven at Magallanes Square. We returned to the hotel to take a rest, but before going to our room, we always make tambay to the lobby because the WIFI of the hotel is available only at the lobby.

After several hours of resting we decided to go to Ilog Maria Bee Farm at Silang. We rode the bus going to Lawton just to reach that place. Unfortunately, the place is closed because of the Lenten Season..how sad..=(.. Although there's a notice on the highway that Ilog Maria Bee farm is closed, we still insisted to go to the place. We have to walk for how many minutes  just to reach the main gate because there is no available transportation going directly to Ilog Maria Bee farm. The pathway is a little bit scary because you will encounter a lot of dogs along the way, I, a self-proclaimed dog-hater whom at the same time very afraid of dogs, picked-up several stones as a weapon if ever dogs will attack us...hahahaha so funny..Thank God we safely made our way outside that pathway. Our original plan is to go to Picnic Grove and People's Park in the Sky. But due to heavy traffic going to the said places or maybe it's God's will also, we ended up going to Angel's Hills and Pink Sisters. It's like we're doing the traditional Visita Iglesia of most Filipinos. Even if the church and monastery were crowded we still enjoyed the place. We also wrote prayers or assistance from the nuns to help us in praying for our prayers and wishes. Due to heavy traffic at Olivarez, we were forced to walk from Pink Sisters to Rotonda. Hayy so tiring..=(

It's dinner time and we have chosen my now ever-favorite Japanese restaurant "Teriyaki Boy" because of their Maki and Dory..=D We were chilling that night due to the cold breeze of air from the Taal Lake. We returned again at our hotel, took a bath and then drunk the San Miguel Apple. That night was very memorable to us because it was our first overnight at Tagaytay. Our room is very comfy and homey..Comfy beds + cold bed sheets + cold environment + cold drinks = early and very good sleep..I so love that experience.

March 29, 2013 - It's our second day at Tagaytay, despite of our nakakapagod na 1st day there we still manage to wake-up early maybe because we slept early last night. We took our breakfast at the lobby of the hotel. After breakfast and some kikay preparations we left the hotel. Our itinerary for today, St. Lourdes Church, Tierra De Maria, Picnic Grove, People's Park at the Sky, The Good Shepherd and Puzzle Mansion. We were able to visit the said place except for The Good Shepherd because it is closed due to Lenten Season. We also returned to Angel's Hills just to buy the pasalubongs at Krusty Tart. We bought again lettuce chips. After long walks, we rode on a bus going back to the hotel. I'm so ashamed, I was able to ate all the lettuce chips leaving nothing to Peng, hahaha. Peace Peng..We experienced heavy traffic on the road. Again we took our dinner at "Teriyaki Boy." The dinner was like there was no tomorrow parang we will be punished tomorrow at the Silya Elektrika sa sobrang kabusugan. hahahaha. Due to cold environment, we decided to warm ourselves at Starbucks. Happy tummy..=D.. We returned to the hotel and we refreshened-up. I gave a massage to them. Afterwards we slept na din.

March 30, 2013 - Breakfast again at the hotel. Preparations, packing-up of things, wacky pictures at the rooms before leaving are never been this good..We left the hotel around 12pm and arrived at Manila at 2 pm.

That said experience will be forever treasured in my heart. I will surely come back here to taste the Bulalo and Tawilis at ATS, visit the Puzzle Mansion , crave for Mushroom burger and cheesecake of Bag of Beans and experience the  signature massage of Sonya's Spa..

I so love the Philippines. You're so beautiful Inang Bayan..=D
